uThungulu still top achiever

The uThungulu District Municipality’s Integrated Development Plan (IDP) has been rated second best in the province with a score of 89% for the current financial year. The district once again received a Certificate of Recognition for remaining among the Top IDP Achievers in KwaZulu-Natal for three consecutive years.‘The efforts by all our officials and Councillor participation in the respective IDP processes have been of an exceptional nature,’ said District Mayor, Stan Larkan. ‘As in the past we will continue to ensure that principles of good governance are upheld and thereby maintain our current impeccable record.’ The uThungulu family of local municipalities achieved a combined score of 72% and three attained top ten scores in the province.

Scores:
uMlalazi (85%), uMhlathuze (80%), Mbonambi (74%), Ntambanana (65%), Mthonjaneni (59%) and Nkandla (56%).
