Murder suspect appears in court
STORY: Dave Savides

The gruesome discovery of a murder victim being dragged by a crocodile in the eNseleni River last year has led to the arrest and court appearance of a suspect
Sandile Mkhize (26) appeared in the Richards Bay District Court on Wednesday, charged with the infamous eNseleni River ‘croc victim’ murder.
On 6 November last year, game rangers saw a four-metre crocodile dragging the savaged body of 28 year-old Mvunyelwa Michael Xaba up and down the river.
When the body was retrieved it was discovered that the victim had been bound hand and foot and was already dead when thrown into the river.
He had suffered severe head injuries.
The case was rescheduled to a later date for formal bail application.
