With the police trainees are Bell Equipment’s Carole Hills (back, second left) and (seated) Captain GM du Preez (Acting Commander), Dave Whittaker (BAC Zululand Manager) and W/O B Robertson (trainer)

A Zululand corporate is working closely with Business against Crime (BAC) and the SA Police to create sustainable partnerships to enhance crime fighting in the region. Bell Equipment, responding to a proposal from BAC, offered their training facilities free of charge to be utilised by the local Criminal Record Centre who are facilitating a two-month Advanced Crime Scene Course for 14 police officers. The course will equip these officers, who have successfully completed a one-year learnership programme recently in the forensic science field. A group of seasoned and experienced members in the force are facilitating the training in Richards Bay.
