Brothers in arms against cancer

STORY: Rachelle Breed

Brothers in arms
Power preacher - Pastor Alan Lawrence of Shabach Bikers lifted weights under loud cheering from the crowds, like Samson of old

The Richards Bay community formed a united front against breast cancer in a well-supported campaign spearheaded by cancer survivor Tex Neveling. Neveling, who survived breast cancer, was joined by the Miracle Hands organisation. They launched the breast cancer awareness campaign at the Richards Bay Municipal Grounds on Saturday.‘We enjoyed the day tremendously.

‘The funds will be donated to an elderly cancer survivor who is in constant pain and needs a specific comfort chair to alleviate her suffering.‘We have generated enough funds from the proceeds of the day, supplemented by a generous donation from a sponsor who wishes to remain anonymous.‘The recipient is unaware of the surprise we have planned, but we will capture the moment on camera.’
