Richards Bay SPCA staff send out a special Christmas wish and their thanks to the community for all their support

As the year winds down and the festive season begins, the Richards Bay SPCA staff and management committee extend their heartfelt thanks to the community for their ongoing support over the past year. As well as sending out their Christmas wishes, the SPCA have also put out a plea to pet owners. These are a few of the helpful hints that will ensure a safe and happy holiday season for pets and their owners.
•Do not leave dogs in cars unattended;
•Do not feed dogs chocolates, sweets or alcohol;
•Ensure that pets are kept in a safe environment on New Year’s eve;
•If dogs are prone to stress, see your vet and obtain tranquillisers;
•Make certain your animals have enough food and fresh water and a shady area.
