Missing Mzingazi teen sought

A Mzingazi grandmother is frantically searching for her mentally challenged teenage grandson who went missing on 30 December. Gogo Lina has been looking for Zandile Cele who wandered off from his Mzingazi home at the end of December and was last spotted at Alkantstrand beach. According to Lizette Naude, a family friend of the Celes, she has been visiting the beach area regularly since Zandile’s disappearance and said that vendors at the beach’s craft market confirmed they had seen the boy between 30 December and 1 January.This is Cele’s second disappearance. ‘While he is a 15 year-old young man, he has a severe speech problem and the mental capabilities of a two year-old child.‘He communicates in clicks and when he is afraid holds his body and rocks back and forth.
‘If any member of the public has seen him or is taking care of him, can they please contact us with that information at 082 8442920,’ said Naude.
