Eleven school children injured

The overturned bakkie in which 11 children and two adults were injured

Eleven children did not make it to school on Friday morning after the bakkie they were travelling in overturned on the B10 road near UVS farm. The children and two adults were transported to hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The cause of the accident is yet to be confirmed. Shortly afterwards three vehicles collided on the R34 leaving Empangeni and a further two vehicles collided on the opposite side of the road heading into town. The accidents were minor and only one person was inured. Traffic however, came to a standstill and the road was closed for a short period while emergency services cleared the road.
