Two die in horror N2 crash

This is all that remained of the wrecked Toyota Corolla split in half on impact
Two people lost their lives in a horror accident on the N2 near eNseleni on Saturday. Seven injured people had to be rushed to hospital. Police and paramedics responded quickly to attend to the injured and control traffic on the busy road. It is believed one vehicle lost control in the wet conditions.
One sedan was split in half with the boot section flung at least 40m from the point of impact. The front seat occupants of both vehicles died at the scene. Later that evening three vehicles were involved in a collision at the R34 intersection near Hillview, but nobody was serious injured. A short distance down the road towards Exxaro, a pedestrian was knocked down and killed in a hit-and-run incident. The pedestrian was not carrying any identification with him. The victim was a male in his mid to late twenties, wearing a brown corduroy jacket, red T-shirt, blue jeans with brown boots.
Anyone with information regarding the hit-and-run is requested to contact Constable B.N Nkwanganake on 035 9015800 or 083 9510913.
