Amazing race to 60

Guests at Liliane Meyer’s 60th ‘Amazing Race’ theme birthday celebration take a breather
Richards Bay’s own ‘Amazing Race’ took place last weekend - all in the name of Liliane Meyer’s 60th birthday celebration.
A scene out of the popular reality TV series was replayed and began at the Mzingazi Golf Estate, proceeding to the beach and followed by a run through the Boardwalk Inkwazi Shopping Centre.
Meyer was then placed in a cage at Lakeside Mall and all teams had to beg for money to rescue her.
Once ransom was paid, teams dashed into Lakeside Spar and purchased a list of groceries which were donated to a local church.
Once receiving their final clue, they raced to the Pit Stop which was at Thai Wok.
Unfortunately, the birthday girl and her team, ‘Old Habits Die Hard’, were eliminated from the race as they were the last team to arrive, but this did not dampen Meyer’s party spirit.
